Grading and Leveling
On the Gulf Coast, grading is the difference between a lot that dries and a lot that ponds. We set fall to inlets, swales, and the street.
Palmetto sits low. The water table is not theoretical, and a summer storm does not wait for a French drain you meant to add later. We grade pads and lots so pavement drains, buildings stay dry, and you are not pumping water out of a loading dock.
This is the work that makes every paving job either last or not. We do not pave a birdbath and call it finished.
